Cancellation Policy

At Al Shams Travels, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy outlines the rules and procedures for canceling bookings and services made through our platform.


1. General Cancellation Terms

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to contact@alshamstravels.com or through your booking dashboard (if available).
  • Cancellations are effective only after confirmation from Al Shams Travels.
  • Cancellation fees may apply based on the nature of the service and the timing of the cancellation.

2. Service-Specific Cancellation Guidelines

✈️ Flights

  • Airline tickets are subject to the airline’s own cancellation rules.
  • Some tickets may be non-refundable, partially refundable, or allow free cancellation within 24 hours.
  • Change or cancellation fees may be charged by the airline, which we will pass on to you.

🏨 Hotel Bookings

  • Most hotels allow free cancellation if done before the specified deadline (usually 24–72 hours before check-in).
  • Non-refundable bookings are not eligible for cancellation or refund.
  • If you cancel after the deadline, one night’s charge or full booking amount may apply.

🚐 Tour Packages & Transfers

  • More than 7 days before the trip: Full refund minus any non-refundable components or admin fee.
  • 3–7 days before the trip: 50% refund.
  • Less than 72 hours before the trip: No refund.

🧾 Visa & Documentation Services

  • All visa service fees are non-refundable once the application has been submitted, regardless of approval status.

3. Cancellation Timeframe & Refund Process

  • Cancellation request acknowledged: Within 24 hours of receipt
  • Refund initiation (if eligible): Within 24–48 hours after cancellation confirmation
  • Refund timeline varies by payment method (see our Refund Policy)

4. No-Show Policy

If you fail to appear for a booked service (hotel, flight, tour, or transfer) without prior cancellation:

  • You will be considered a no-show.
  • No refund will be issued.

5. Force Majeure

Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, strikes, political unrest, pandemics, etc.) will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We will work with suppliers to minimize charges, but refunds are not guaranteed.


6. Modification of Bookings

  • Date or detail changes may be allowed depending on the service provider’s terms.
  • Any fare difference or amendment fees will apply.
  • All changes must be requested at least 72 hours before the scheduled service.
